Each year, an international conference is organized by the P3Union Steering Committee. The goal of this yearly event is to allow the various active P3Union members to meet in real life and to have person-to-person interaction, and to allow subcontractors a platform for educating and advertising their relevant capabilities.

Each P3Union conference is organized in the following way: the steering committee acts on the background, providing guidance, funding, administration and organisational support. Apart from this, each year a co-host is appointed out of the international group of military Orion operators, who will act as formal host, that year. The meeting is always held in the country of the co-host, at a location selected by the co-host.
For that year, a co-host representative will be added to the Steering Committee.

The following conferences were held, so far:

• 2008 : Sevilla, Spain. Co-host was the Spanish Air Force
• 2007 : Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Co-host was Lex ten Have from NLR
  
• 2006 : München, Germany. Co-host was Cdr. Dittmer of the German Navy
• 2005 : Lisbon, Portugal. Co-host was Lt.Col. Guerra of the Portuguese Air Force
